Oh so its February…

A month ago i promised to be more productive …hhhmmm yh well i was so productive that i litterely restricted my self from blogging in any form so thats why i havnt posted but i have managed to get my assignments done !

lets just hope the hardwork paid off !!!

I spent quite some time in the darkroom it is really a pleasent place to be when im developing in the dark i just get to think …about everything really,  but trying to cram all the work in was really stressful and i did mess up some of my prints…. But i also got my digital work done and got a book printed !!! so i think i got alot done !

Well apart from buying out Urban Outfitters sale department and stuffing myself with take aways  all ive done is mess up my boyfriends room by practically living there for 2 weeks i think if he ive put him off ever concidering living with a woman …. essecially one as unorganised as me !

As for the new years resolutions i have not got a tattoo yet ( i got scared !)and  have not joined the gym…. f**k it !!! i dont need to i enjoy food too much …. i have become addicted to subways honey mustard… and garlic mayo on home made chips with chicken pastabake on the side …..amazing !!!

New year , Fresh start

So everyone went out , spent their wages, spilt drink on thier new dresses and got absolutley smashed to celebrate the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010…….i was not one of them ….i have started my fresh start from new years eve…. not thiers anything wrong with getting drunk and going out i have done it many times and am not going to stop  ….. but i wanted to spend the new year  relaxing with my baby and it was lovely.

I am how ever making many changes to my life , i will be 20 this year which is a big thing….. what have i aconplished in 20 years ??

So i have decided to build a website which i will be selling my work and offering photographic services …..it is a pipedream in the making but it will be comming soon…..!

Also i vow to post at least once a week and to keep updateing the photo blog sequinrose and to get the shop filled full of little treasures !!!

Im trying to be alot more productive with my time and get my self out there as an artist i allready go uni and have two jobs……no one can say im lazy !!! but in my spare time i do get distracted and tired but after recent events ive realised i really havnt got time to be wasting !!!

I will be joining the gym…. to get fitter so i have energy to do all these things.

and i will be getting my tattoo when loan drops !!!

Ive also deleted quite a few people off facebook as i know who my real friends are now anyone else i dont care about !

Im also gonna try and be a bit more paitent and moan a little less , good things come to those who wait and i believe 2010 will be a hell of a lot better year for me !!!

So i wish my friends and family a very happy and succesful year ahead of them !!!

Is it too late to say merry christmas??

Im really sorry for being such a shit blogger part of it is my fault for being so busy and the rest is some very sad circumstances…….

Were do i start …erm well 1st of all my lovely house became less lovely … to the point where i was hardly even in it i could go into details but its a long story and if you know me well enough you would have heard me complain countless times….. other than that i have some really bad news that has effected the blog quite significantly my beautiful amazing iMac apple computer was stolen for legal reasons i wont go into it but wow it has left a big empty space on my desktop and in my heart !!! lol it sounds sad but my whole life was on that computer countless pictures of my family, videos of my siblings, personal information, bookmarks of amazing artists..blogs and shops and most importantly priceless amount of beautiful future portfolio work of my photography !!!!

It’s just what i needed after an amazingly shit 2009 ….. being broke, failing my course, the worst summer ever, then uni losing my re submission work then nearly not even being able to go back to uni ……

Apart from being hit by a car it was the “best” worst ending to the ultimate shitest year in my life it was 2006 all over again …. even though now i look back at 2006 as a year i learnt so many lessons ( mostly about men … or should i say boys ?) i suppose next year i will look back at 2009 and realise that i learnt alot about the choices i make and the company i keep !!!

Well apart from all this horrible bad news i had i still have my ideas and my dreams so i can continue to make even more brilliant work….. i have my health and i have my family and friends and all i can say is when bad things like this happen it shows you who are your real friends !!!!

I hope everyone else had an amazing christmas mine was okay time of work was the best thing ever and seeing the little ones open their presents….. i got some Vivienne Westwood boots and jewelry off kevin and a necklace off anna all of it i love very much and then make up and bath stuff which is always lovely …..

No matter what happens keep smiling : )

Happy halloween…..(i know im late! )

Okay yh i know  im really late but hey i was sick and been really busy …….

Any way this year was good….after much anticipation since the start of October and deciding what to go as either  it be poison ivy from batman … or pebbles from Flintstones i eventually went as a cave women which kinda looked a bit like pebbles….

Well me and ana brought some sexy furry leopard material from the market and took it our friend mias flatmate who made us some cute little outfits ! Now i know alot of guys say they dont like leopard print……but these costumes were HOT !

Dmu vs Leicester uni !!!

Well yh i know its been long im getting really sluggish and lazy and the fact that im ither raving , working or unwell i havnt had the time to post about some of the past events that have been quite entertaing !

Firstly there was the Battle of the unis DMU vs leicester  bar crawl ! …. my first bar crawl and probly one of the funnist nights ive had here….

As allways theres the whole re styling of the tee shirts personlay i think dmus shirts were better with the back saying ” who the f**k are leicester uni ! ” when leicester student had ” my dad works for your dad “  i know go bit personal then but think we got them back on the night !!!

It was the girls all together that night, Me, Ana, Lucy, Harland and Remini and we went hard after downing two bottles of rose wine and especially ana with her horn drowing out the chants of anyone against dmu ! Ive never seen so many people united for one thing like apart from a football match the DMU spirit was definitely up their and i think we showed Leicester uni what time it was .

The chants of ” who the fuck are Leicester uni ” ” My dad fucked your mum ” and “your dad pays our bursaries ” gave me a lil sore throat the next day but all in all a very good night out !

So anyone comming to uni for the first time or just looking for a goodnight out bar crawls are the one !

The good life …..

Well now i got the depressing post out the way….. Id like to tell you about i new house and my pretty room ….and my new sexy hair and all the amazing things i have experienced while being back at uni !

THE HOUSE

Well i share with ana who you all know is like a sister to me and my other two flatmates lucy and jason we also have numerous other people that seem to live with us but don’t pay any rent…. long story but i wanna make it a nice one so ill leave the ranting for another day !

My room is sexy though ask anyone that has been in it, it may be the smallest room but i think it has the most character…i know i was extra and brought my bed up from Birmingham from my mums house but it had to be done comfiest bed ever… you wont know unless you get the privilege of sleeping in it ! But yh i have a little fire place with candles in and a huge white wardrobe n shelves aswell as some blue chest of draws with cute handles , apart from that i have some sexy throws and cushions and a nice light feature with flowers thats pretty gorgeous !!

But yh still need new curtains, rug and more storage…. trip to ikea anyone ??/

NEW HAIR

If you know me well or read this blog you know i have been craving long red hair all year !!! well i finally got it !

Its not red red ! but its like a dark cherry i love it ! Extensions  thats also my sexy dress n bag i got for my friends bday reminis 20th !

It was a really good night ! we even had a stripper he was fireman he wasn’t the beautiful guy we picked off the internet but i haven’t laughed so much in my life it was jokes and remini had a great bday ….. as for the rave after it was a flop some dumb dead out rave … no more of them for this year if you cant organize it properly then just concentrate on doing Your work at uni rather then wasting peoples time !

Well yh apart from that …..where i doubt ill be drinking that much ever again as i was really really bad hung over  ! Ive been shopping … bits for my room, perfume, makeup some shoes ,some sexy Kurt Geiger shoes that are £130 on ASOS were £40 on the KG store website with only a size 3 in stock ! AMAZING ….

My course is going great too met some lovely people and feel alot happier about my ideas and inspirations now so yh lets hope the good luck keeps rolling still need a job !!!!

Hi stranger….

Its been a very long time so ill give you the bad news first ……I was ment to updat this a month ago but the things i would of wrote would of made you think i was about jump of a bridge or something….well maybe not something that drastic but i was very upset…….

The bad news after the holidays busting my as to do my typographic brief to get on to 2nd year i finally got my results on the 21st september to find out……. FAILED ! like wow i was emotional anyone that saw me knew i was emotional wreck panda eyes like whoa !

So i marched down to uni to find out what the deal was with my low grade ….. GUESS WHAT stupid DMU (de montfort university in leicester ) Lost my development work my whole sketch book !!! and my tutor who ill call THE IDIOT TUTOR  but if your from my class you know who i mean ……. Well he just smiles and tells me they looked high and low for it and are doubting i submitted it at all …..maybe i should do HND !!!!!

What the fuck mate like i never got triple distinction in college n ure telling me i cant do a degree course !!!Not to give him the satisfaction of seeing him break me down in tears i walked out in despair to find someone that could actually help me !

So more bad news followed ….. i spoke to the dean head of design and was told i cant do my graphic design n photography course for 3 yrs ! n i cant get on another course till next year !!!………But GUESS WHAT we went  to the room were my work was stored and what is just lying in the table with lots of other sketchbooks !!!! MY SKETCHBOOK !!!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH MMMMMYYYYY GGGOOODDDDD !!!Are you serious…… so this head of design is sorting it out to get remarked but who tries to put a spanner in the works and crushes my dreams even more ……..THE IDIOT TUTOR ….. ” well i just don’t think Samantha is right for the course….just beacuase the sketchbooks been found doesn’t change anything ” !!!!

So he basically told the one guy that could have just put me on 2nd year i was a no hoper ! ….. so a couple days went by …. depressing days of hardly eating or sleeping and mainly crying then finally…. i get told i can be put on to The Photography and video course ……. WOW im a fresher again !

It is actually real good news as i know some people didn’t get back in at all so in a way i am lucky…….

Its been a while

Hi i been away for abit mostly dues to being really depressed about life and having nothing to post about !!!

But im over it now one little thing at a time and ill get there, so what have i been up to….. my lovely boyfriend who i was abit mean to the other week, so he spoils me by taking me to one of my favourite  restaurant Wagamammas and to my surprise i nearly finished it all…. this is rare for me for as much as i like rice i can never finish a plate full much to his annoyance…lol

Chicken katsu curry is rather tasty but i was disappointed when i asked for a coke and they brough me a can and a glass …and charged £1.95 for it ….. i could of got one for 60p at the shop i suppose it is a restaurant  but what happened to those old bottles of glass coke aye ???  Well after that lovely meal we made our way to the cinema , briefly stopping off at tk max where i found the most gorgeous Chloe cardigan !! but it was £100…reduced from £360 i know is decent but not for my balance right now!!!!

So yh we went to the Electric cinema which ive all-ways wanted to go too, for those people that are not from Birmingham it is the oldest working cinema in the UK, and was first opened in 1909.

They have sofas and a bar so you can buy alcohol to take into the film with you and they serve ice cream, tea and coffee……

When i used to go past on the 35 bus when i was younger i all ways thought it was going to be very grand inside don’t ask me i just expected it to be that way …..but me and my bf was a bit disappointed  i expected vintage popcorn boxes , maybe red curtains that opened or an oldish projector, even maybe a little vendor that serves things or tells you to ssshhhhh!!

I remember my granddad telling me about the ice cream man that walk down the aisle and you would just pay for it there and then….. you only get waiter service if you had the sofas.

I really wanted to see Co Co Chanel but it wasn’t on at that time so we saw Inglorious Basterds which might i say is amazing !!! if only it really all went down like that in history that would be

something…. but i did find most people their did not have a  sense of humor because the women didn’t even laugh at all behind me.?

Brad Pitt was amazing  in it , i loved the part where he was in the woods and when they pretended to be Italian ……….and the female actress Melanie Laurent who played the Jewish girl which escaped was one of my favorites i really wanted her to live and stand proud with her black lover and get some recognition for killing all of them !!! or for at least the guy that killed her family know that she was a Jew…..but i suppose she just had to die…..i do love Tarantino movies…

Well as mu h as it disappointed me the film was amazing , and their is some new independent films i wanna see there too so i guess ill be going back and i may get ice cream next time ….lol

Oh yh big thank you to my boyfriend for making me smile : D

Wow wordpress for iPhone maybe some one from apple has secretly bugged my iphone , I have tried numerous times typing accessing wordpress through google on my iPhone and trying to type a post and failed and I searched for the app a while a go and to my disapointment no such app … But wow right now I’m sitting in the dark in my double bed writing a post about writing a post…….. And telling you about somthing you allready know about !!! Well sorry if I’ve just got round to mentioning it !! Anyway much better positive mood today planning summer 2010 and sorting my life out with a spring clean but to bed with me no doubt the siblings will wake me in 7 hours !!!
